Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill says Tottenham double-teamed winger James McClean on Saturday.
O'Neill's tactics were criticised for the 0-0 draw.
"James McClean was up against Kyle Walker, who I would consider one of the best full-backs playing in the league at the moment, and yet Tottenham Hotspur had a man doubling in behind him," said O'Neill. "So we were terribly frustrated by that because he wasn't allowed to go one-on-one.
"If he had have done, McClean has the beating of just about every full-back that's playing."
