Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is keen to add more creativity to his midfield.
O'Neill admits they asked too much of Stephane Sessegnon last season.
He said: “We need to bring in more creativity.
“There is a lot of reliance on Sessegnon and we need to share the burden a bit. It is not a guarded secret we need to score more goals and make more goals.
“I thought at the end of the season the number of games Sess had played caught up with him.
“He lost a wee bit of sharpness over the last four or five games – maybe just after Manchester City when he was brilliant."
