Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill isn't surprised by Ji Dong-won's South Korea reaching the final four of the Olympics football tournament.

Dong-won and the Taeguk Warriors have made quite an impression but O'Neill for one always felt they would do well.

"It really is fantastic, but when you think about it the Koreans did brilliantly a few World Cups ago," he told safc.com.

"Obviously we had an experience out there too. These lads can play and it comes as no real shock to me to see them doing well.

"It's great to see him doing very well and obviously we are all cheering him on."
