Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill has likened James McClean to two attackers he's previously worked with.
McClean struck in victory over Stoke City.
O'Neill said: "You don't want to fast-track somebody who is useless... I have tried that before, but James is far from useless.
"We have done it before and it has been great. There are comparisons with Gabby Agbonlahor you could draw, and a young Emile Heskey at Leicester City."
