Sunderland boss O'Neill impressed by youngster Colback

Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill is impressed by young midfielder Jack Colback.

The Killingworth-born 22-year-old scored his first goal for the club in their draw with Everton this week.

"Jack Colback deserved his goal," O'Neill told safc.com. "He played very well when he came on and he's a young man with a decent future ahead of him.

"I've been very, very pleased with him since I've arrived and I'm sure he's been doing fine long before that."
