Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill was full of praise for Nicklas Bendtner after their 3-3 draw at Manchester City.
Bendtner struck one, created another - but at 3-1 had the chance to put the game beyond City.
O'Neill said: "They were very impressive and I thought Bendtner played as real proper centre forward, holding up, bringing people in, scoring a goal.
"Maybe with a performance like that his much self-vaunted opinion is justified."
