Sunderland boss Martin O'Neill fears a fresh battle to keep hold of Stephane Sessegnon this summer.
O'Neill's priority is securing the Black Cats' Premier League status. But even if they survive, he knows Sessegnon could be a target for top clubs again.
O'Neill said: "We made every effort to try to get him settled and gave him a new contract.
"Obviously, we want to try to keep him. But you never know. We'll see what develops - but that's not to say he's leaving."
