Sunderland boss Roy Keane won't risk rushing back Carlos Edwards from his hamstring injury.

He told Sunderland's website: "Carlos won't be available until after the international break. We can't be taking any chances, he's not quite right yet and it would be silly to try to push him for the sake of one game.

"He's not available for this Saturday and to try to push him for the Arsenal game would be madness.

"We're missing him already and it would be a massive blow if he was to have another setback. With the numbers we have, we're just about getting by."
