Sunderland boss Roy Keane admits he's still surprised to find former Manchester United teammate Mark Hughes in management at Blackburn Rovers.

Keane said: "The one thing I really enjoy is speaking to managers after games and Sparky is good in that respect.

"Sparky's been a manager a lot longer than me and I respect what he's got to say.

"We talk about players, tactics, referees - whatever. The good managers don't try to hide anything. They're happy to give their advice.

"I didn't think, as a player, he would go on to become a great manager but he's doing great.

"The obvious ones were Steve Bruce and Bryan Robson.

"Sparky wasn't top of the list when it came to would-be managers. He was very quiet until he was out on the social scene!"
