Sunderland boss Roy Keane has revealed he received an apology from refs' chief Keith Hackett after another clanger cost Sunderland a point on Sunday.

The Black Cats were beaten 2-1 by Manchester City.

But Keane was left fuming as ref Mike Riley gave City a penalty after Daniel Sturridge slipped in the box.

Keane said: "I had a call from Keith. He apologised but it's small consolation.

"I'm not sure it makes much difference to our fans.

"We've had seven or eight major calls all go against us."
