Sunderland boss Roy Keane admits his next loan signing will cost the club.
"I'm paying big money for loans. If you think that clubs are doing other clubs favours, they're not. Trust me. It's been going on for years," he said after his capture of Marseille's Djibril Cisse on a temporary deal.
"Loan deals are expensive. When we ring people it's £5m or £6m before you even start. I'm quite happy for us to pay half of their wages, never mind loan fees, and there are other benefits.
"You are getting a chance to have a look at them in your own building. After two or three months you might think 'he's not for us, thank God we didn't buy him. He is just on loan'."
