Sunderland boss Roy Keane is keen to sell Greg Halford in January.
The fullback is on a season-long loan at Sheffield United and The Journal says Keane is ready to cut that short by six months in order to raise funds for his own signings.
It's also been revealed that Pascal Chimbonda has been told he can move on if he finds a new club.
