Sunderland boss Keane ponders O'Donovan loan

Sunderland boss Roy Keane admits he could loan out striker Roy O'Donovan.

"Roy has had his year with us now, we're hoping he will kick on, it was hard for him last year because we were struggling to create chances and he'd had a tough season with Cork City," said the Sunderland manager.

"He's had a good pre-season and we're all delighted with Roy's attitude. There was an idea that he'd go out on loan - and I still wouldn't rule that out - but again, if Roy comes on and is lively and gets a couple of chances he'll score goals because he knows where the back of the net is."
