Sunderland boss Keane insists no contract concerns

Sunderland boss Roy Keane insists there's no concerns over his contract.

Keane's three-year contract at the Stadium of Light expires at the end of the season but even though he is in no rush to complete a new deal he insists there is no sinister motive.

"There is no problem," the Irishman said. "You negotiate. I step back and focus on trying to win football matches and getting this football club to another level and I let my solicitor deal with that side of things.

"It might happen tomorrow, it might happen at Christmas, it might happen at the end of the season. There is no timescale on these things. I did exactly the same thing as a player and I will do exactly the same as a manager.

"But that's the least of my worries. My only focus will be trying to pick the right team for a tough game against Aston Villa."
