Sunderland boss Keane hopes he's shock players into action

Sunderland boss Roy Keane hopes his axing of several players last week will shock them into action.

Keano axed Michael Chopra, Daryl Murphy, Danny Higginbotham and Kieran Richardson for last week's loss to Chelsea after so-so training displays.

He said: "I'm not sure if what I did shocked a few people.

"We've got a lot of quality and I suppose I like keeping the players on their toes."
