Sunderland boss Keane delighted to see Jones, Cisse on scoresheet

Sunderland boss Roy Keane was delighted to see Kenwyne Jones and Djibril Cisse score in their 2-1 victory over Blackburn Rovers.

Keane said: "I hope there is a lot more to come from this partnership as it clearly has potential.

"It is a big bonus getting Kenwyne back and he is still getting up to match speed.

"As for Cisse, he is a good lad and to get five goals already in the campaign is a decent total.

"We were outstanding in the second half and we just about deserved to get the three points."

Blackburn manager Paul Ince claimed his players should be "embarrassed" after they failed to build on their Carling Cup victory against the same opponents.

Goalkeeper Paul Robinson failed to deal with Kieran Richardson's corner which led to Jones hauling the visitors back into the game.

Ince said: "It was a mistake without a doubt as he just came at the wrong time. But he has been outstanding for us and we are all in this together.

"I have just had a go at the players as I am upset and angry. We could have been three or four goals ahead by half-time.

"We got punished in the second half. It was a diabolical performance and the players should be a bit embarrassed by what happened."
