Sunderland boss Keane delighted with Diouf, Chimbonda displays

Sunderland boss Roy Keane was happy to see new signings El Hadji Diouf and Pascal Chimbonda in action for last night's friendly victory against Nottingham Forest.

Keane told the club's website: "I thought it was a great night's work. Forest played some good football but we created lots of chances and we scored a good goal. I'm delighted, I have to say.

"I was pleased with the two new lads [Chimbonda and Diouf]. I thought it was a good game for them to make their debuts in. They played about 55 mins so hopefully they will be nice and fresh for Sunday.

"Even in their short time at club, we can see the qualities they have, they will be a massive asset to us."
