Sunderland boss Keane confident winning race for Tottenham's Kaboul

Sunderland boss Roy Keane remains confident of beating Aston Villa and Portsmouth for Tottenham defender Younes Kaboul.

"I know we are the only club that has agreed a fee with Tottenham because we are in constant conversation with them. But I know the way the game works," he said.

Kaboul's agent, Rudy Raby, told The Journal: "Aston Villa and Portsmouth are two other clubs that have shown an interest.

"But he is still interested in going to Sunderland - of course he is. At the moment I can't say when a decision will be made."
