Sunderland boss Roy Keane is backing Dean Whitehead for an England call-up.

Keane said: "I watched a video of the game against Newcastle two years ago and studied his positioning and everything then and, let me tell you, he has improved a hell of a lot. To go to the next level, which he can, he needs to add more of a goal threat."
