On-loan Tottenham fullback Danny Rose has been told by Sunderland boss Paolo Di Canio he can be "one of the best".
The England Under-21s left-back only has two games to go with the Black Cats.
That's because their final match this season is away to Spurs, Rose's parent club.
Di Canio said: "I saw Andre Villas-Boas said he will probably have him back.
"In the next two games he's going to give his best. As a left-back, if he improves defensively, he can be one of the best."
