Sunderland boss Paolo di Canio is determined to find a new fullback signing.

The Daily Mail says Sunderland still hope to sign left-back Lucas Orban from Atletico Tigre but are ready to turn to former Tottenham defender Reto Ziegler if they miss out on the 24-year old Argentinian.

While negotiations continue with Orban, Juventus' Switzerland left-back Ziegler, 27, is being lined up as an alternative. Juventus will accept just under £2million for him.
