Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio has been fined £8,000 by the Football Association after accepting a charge of misconduct.
The Italian had a fiery encounter with referee Martin Atkinson during his side's 3-1 loss to Arsenal at the Stadium of Light on Saturday after a decision cost his side a goal.
Atkinson failed to call advantage when Bacary Sagna fouled Jozy Altidore before the American powered his way through to score what would have been a levelling goal at 2-2.
However, the match official called a free-kick instead which was wasted by the home side much to the ire of Di Canio who was sent to the stands.
He has been fined by the FA but has not received a touchline ban making him free to coach against West Bromwich Albion this weekend.
"Sunderland manager Paolo Di Canio has been fined the standard penalty of £8,000 after he admitted an FA misconduct charge in relation to his behaviour during his side's game against Arsenal," read a FA statement.
A Sunderland statement added: "He (Di Canio) is free to take his place on the touchline when Sunderland visit West Brom this weekend."
