Sunderland boss Di Canio angry with attitude of some players

Sunderland boss Paolo di Canio is angry with the attitude of some of his players.

Di Canio revealed he had handed out a number of fines in the last week, including to players who had failed to attend the weekly signing session.

He said: "It is seven steps to climb, 20 items to sign for children or supporters and it is important for them, but people forget. It is in the contract that they must, it is crucial to the club.

"Now they are fined because you have to start from somewhere or we're never going to change. It is small things, but many small things become a big problem. We have to respect the rules or we are never going to change.

"Everything means the mentality, we can't change everything. It doesn't mean we won't keep many players, but we will change some. That can wait until after Sunday."
