Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is wary facing a hurting Manchester United this weekend.
Bruce says Sunderland will have to be ready for a furious response from the champions as they look to make it up to their fans.
"It's typical - it would be us to be the first team to go there since the City game, wouldn't it," said Bruce, who won a host of silverware with United during his eight-and-a-half year stay.
"That's typical of our luck. But whenever you go to Old Trafford, you know you're going to be in for a difficult afternoon.
"Certainly, Man U will respond, you can be sure about that.
"I watched the game on TV and there was no-one more shocked than me at the final whistle.
"Towards the end, at 3-1, they were still trying to win it and that's just like Man U. Perhaps when City made it 4-1 they should have shut up shop, but who am I to tell United what to do?"
