Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is ready to welcome new signing Marcos Angeleri.
The Mirror says Bruce will make Argentinian right-back Marcos Angeleri his second summer signing this weekend - after he picks up an Italian passport.
The defender has agreed a four-year deal with the Black Cats, who are paying his club Estudaintes around £2million for his signature.
However, Angeleri still has to collect his EC passport and has flown to Italy to claim the dual nationality he is entitled to through his family roots.
Angeleri would not qualify for a work permit as he has been out of Argentina's plans since Diego Maradona took charge. The paperwork is expected to be rushed through to allow him to land in England quickly.
