Sunderland manager Steve Bruce admitted his side should have done better despite the fact they defeated Wolves 5-2 on Sunday.
The Black Cats were handed two penalties in the match and conceded two silly goals, one being an own goal from John Mensah, leaving a sour taste in Bruce's mouth even though they secured three points.
"I have just recovered. I don't think we can make sense of that. It was a crazy one. Great for a neutral, but for a manager is was unreal, difficult to put into words," said Bruce.
"We have a threat up front with those two and we will get goals but defensively we go into meltdown and we have to improve as a team on that.
"I am not feeling like we won 5-2. We have to eradicate mistakes. When we have a wobble we must have the basics to see ourselves through it.
"We bought Benty for a lot of money. When you have that threat you can win games. But defensively as a team we have to improve. That is the job over the winter months."
