Sunderland haven't shelved interest in Schalke striker Kevin Kuranyi.

The Germany international priced himself out of a move to Sunderland in January after lengthy negotiations.

Kuranyi is off contract in June and the Daily Mail says Black Cats boss Steve Bruce still hopes to persuade him about moving to Wearside.
