Sunderland boss Steve Bruce says the mauling at Newcastle United earlier this season was his worst day in the game.
The Black Cats have the chance for revenge this weekend.
Bruce told the Sunday Sun: "That day at St James' Park was certainly my darkest day in football.
"It was a horrible day for us all.
"However, I did say that we would learn valuable lessons from it, and we have done so.
"I can promise Newcastle it will be a different kettle of fish this time round."
