Sunderland boss Bruce: I had to sell to balance books
Sunderland boss Steve Bruce says he had to sell this summer to balance the books.
Bruce has come under scrutiny over his summer sales.
“In the end the £3million I got from Martyn (from Leicester City), the money from selling Lorik (Cana) and Kenwyne (Jones) too has enabled me to balance the books,” he told The Journal.
“They were big decisions – selling Lorik and Kenwyne – but that’s what I get paid for.”
