Sunderland boss Steve Bruce isn't rushing into new contract talks with Craig Gordon.
The Daily Star says contract talks with Gordon, 28, have been put on the back burner, with Bruce having to make a major decision on his keepers in the summer.
Gordon's form dipped before his recent injury and in his absence Belgian Under-21 international Simon Mignolet has stepped in and underlined his vast potential.
Bruce believes that at his best the Scot is among the top keepers in the Premier League, but if he decides to promote Mignolet and make him his No.1 next season, he will look to cash in on Gordon, who joined Sunderland for a record-breaking £9m in 2007.
