Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is happy taking his squad to Germany for preseason.
Sunderland have trained in Portugal for each of the last two summers but will play closer to home this time around.
And Bruce can't wait to get going as he awaits the return of the squad in the first week of July.
"As a club we have spent a considerable amount of time investigating potential venues and the one we have found is excellent," he told safc.com.
"I'm confident the training base will be an ideal venue to really get down to brass tacks and get a solid start to the pre-season under our belts.
"We have three good games out there too, with all three teams presenting very different challenges.
"It also looks like being a good tour for our fans, who I have to say have been fantastic by turning out in their hundreds in Portugal for the last two years.
"I'm sure we'll be seeing plenty of the supporters again at the three grounds in Germany."
