Sunderland boss Steve Bruce is furious with the attitude of Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud.

The Sun says Bruce is fuming after Bordeaux refused to sell Moroccan striker Marouane Chamakh to Sunderland because they are not a big club.

Triaud claims he had never heard of the Wearsiders. He said: "What is he going to do in Sunderland?

"I don't want to insult them but I don't even know where they finished last season. Marouane said he will only sign for a big English club."
