Sunderland boss Steve Bruce has hailed the Stadium of Light fans after victory over Hull City.
"The atmosphere inside the ground was superb, particularly in the second half," Bruce told safc.com.
"There was a real energy about the place when we started the second half well Reidy's goal really was the catalyst for that.
"I think the fans could tell the players were enjoying themselves and each was feeding off the other. It's things like that which give our place the reputation it's got.
"It was a real party atmosphere towards the end and I must say that the backing the fans gave the players made a real difference throughout the game.
"Their contribution really is important and hopefully that can continue. We need to make the Stadium of Light a fortress and having 45,000 voices behind us every fortnight would go a huge way towards achieving that."
