Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce says he has a future top line manager in his squad.
He has tipped Sunderland defender John O'Shea to move into management.
The Ireland centre-half, 35, has been a Sunderland sub in recent weeks but has another year left on his contract.
Allardyce added: “He'll definitely be staying. He's a dedicated pro. He is going to make a fantastic coach or manager.
“At the time, he was a bit unfortunate to lose his place. But obviously, when I look at the partnership that Younes Kaboul and Lamine Kone have put together, I'm sure John understands."
