Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce expects to learn this week if he will be England manager.
The Sunday Mirror says Allardyce will find out this week if he has landed his dream job as England boss.
The Sunderland boss met with FA kingmakers David Gill, Dan Ashworth and Martin Glenn on Tuesday and he remains in pole position to replace Roy Hodgson with Bournemouth boss Eddie Howe wanted as his No.2.
Sunderland are already making contingency plans for Allardyce's departure with Burnley boss Sean Dyche and former Everton and Swansea manager Roberto Martinez in the frame.
