Sunderland, Bolton Wanderers and Fulham are in a three-way fight for Liverpool's Danny Guthrie.

The £3m-rated midfielder, currently on-loan at Bolton, has been told by Rafa Benitez that he can now leave Anfield permanently, says the Sunday Mirror.

Wanderers believed they were in pole position for the 21-year-old, but both Roy Keane and Roy Hodgson have now made enquiries.

That could drive the price up and hand Benitez an unexpected cash windfall.
