Sunderland are interested in Bologna centre-forward Robert Acquafresca.

Sky Italia says Sunderland have made an enquiry about Acquafresca, who spent last season on-loan in Spain with Levante.

Bologna are keen to cash in, though are seeking to structure a deal around a 12-month loan with the view to signing Acquafresca permanently in June 2014, should he impress.
