Sunderland boss Paolo di Canio has made a move for Napoli striker Lorenzo Insigne.
The Sun says Di Canio has failed with a £5.5million bid for Italian hotshot Insigne.
The Black Cats boss is a big fan of the Napoli ace, 22.
However, Juventus midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini, 28, has sealed a £6.8m switch.
