Sunderland boss Paolo di Canio continues to clearout his backroom team.

The Journal says the club's head of medicine Dr Glen Rae has left Sunderland. That follows on from the departure of chief scout Pop Robson and youth coach Craig Liddle in recent weeks - and is a further indication of the wholesale changes planned by Ellis Short in the close season.

Dr Rae is understood to have left of his own accord rather than being dismissed.
