Sunderland are close to landing Coventry City goalkeeper Keiren Westwood.
The Daily Mail says Republic of Ireland goalkeeper Westwood is close to agreeing a move to Sunderland.
The 26-year-old Manchester-born player, who is available on a free transfer from Coventry City, has had offers from Manchester City, Everton, Leicester City and Portsmouth, while Wolves have failed with a late bid.
Westwood's move to the Stadium of Light seems to increase the chances of Scotland keeper Craig Gordon leaving when he returns from injury.
