Sunderland ace Fletcher ready to end Scotland quarrel

Steven Fletcher has indicated that he is ready to again represent Scotland.

The 25-year old striker, who has scored three goals in two appearances for Sunderland since joining from Wolves, has not played for Scotland for around 18 months after falling out with manager Craig Levein.

Fletcher has been overlooked by Levein because of his refusal to return to the international fold but a recent post on Twitter suggests he could be ready for action with the Tartan Army in next month's World Cup qualifiers against Wales and Belgium.

When asked by a Twitter follower if he was prepared to 'pull on your jersey next month if Craig Levein asked you to come back', Fletcher replied with a straight 'Yes'.

However, a Scottish Football Association hinted to The Sun that Levein will not consider Fletcher whilst he is in charge of the Scotland team.
