Sulley Muntari walks off pitch after ref refuses to react to Cagliari fans racist chants

Sulley Muntari walked off the pitch in Pescara's defeat to Cagliari over racist chanting.

The Ghanaian midfielder confronted the referee and asked him to stop the game after hearing the abuse, but his request was declined and he received a yellow card.

The 32-year-old left the field at Stadio Sant'Elia, leaving Pescara with ten men with Cagliari winning 1-0.

Despite the referee opting against speaking to the stadium manager, fans were asked via a megaphone to stop their racist chanting.

The match finished with Cagliari winning 1-0.
