Chelsea have informed Championship clubs eager to sign Josh McEachran that they are wasting their time. The midfielder is being tipped to replace Frank Lampard at the club, having impressed in the reserves and now the first team.
talkSPORT understands as many as six Championship sides were eager to take McEachran on loan for the season but the 17-year-old will stay put at Stamford Bridge.
Ancelotti rates McEachran highly and clubs in the Championship have been warned off making an offer for the rising star.
The Chelsea boss does not want to rush the youngster but plans to continue using him in the first team this season, rather than see him ply his trade in the Championship.
