Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic would turn down a move to Manchester City in preference to staying with the Bundesliga club. "Of course it is flattering to have my name linked with a top club in England," he told the Bild newspaper.

"Manchester City are so rich that they can practically buy any player they want.

"I have only just extended my contract until 2014 and I am also very happy privately in Dortmund.

"I still want to achieve something with Dortmund and I owe this also to Jurgen Klopp, who brought me here from Mainz."

Subotic would rather not hear any more about a potential offer from any other club, saying that "dealing with a transfer when you are in the middle of a season always brings bad luck, in my eyes."
