Former Manchester United fullback Guillermo Varela admits he'd love to join Barcelona.
Luis Suárez has called for Barca in Spain to sign the defender, who is now playing in Uruguay with Penarol.
"I've read it but I did not even ask Luis. Nobody has confirmed it to me. Obviously it would be a dream to play for Barcelona and, even more so, with Suárez. That would be really nice, but I don't want to think about it," the 25-year old told EFE.
Varela had a stint on-loan with Real Madrid Castilla while with United.
On Suarez's World Cup form, Varela added: "He's really up for this and full of enthusiasm. He couldn't put the chances away the other day, but Luis is doing fine. He's a great player, and has always shown that at Barça."
