Suarez in tears as Liverpool blow title chance

Luis Suarez was in tears as Crystal Palace wrecked Liverpool's title hopes with a courageous fight-back last night. Suarez sobbed into his shirt as Liverpool's Premier League dreams were all but shattered at Selhurst Park.

Leading 3-0 through goals from Joe Allen, Daniel Sturridge and Suarez, the Reds collapsed spectacularly, conceding three times in nine crazy second-half minutes right at the death.

Damien Delaney and two-goal Palace hero Dwight Gayle did the damage in a stunning finale at Selhurst Park - and Suarez was in tears as he was led off the pitch.

Palace boss Tony Pulis smiled: "Everything took off, it was amazing... the support. When the second goal went in, it was just a matter of time until we got the third.

"That's as good as I've heard for a long, long time.

"The players deserve so much credit for their attitude and commitment.

"But don't write Liverpool off yet. It's been that kind of season."
