Daniel Sturridge has heaped praise on fellow Liverpool striker Luis Suarez following Sunday's 3-1 win over Sunderland at the Stadium of Light.

Sturridge opened the scoring in the 28th minute with his fifth goal of the season before Suarez, back in the Premier League fold after a 10-match ban, netted a double to lead the Reds to second on the table.

After the match, Sturridge spoke highly of Suarez who added a second in the 36th minute before wrapping up the contest with a minute remaining.

"It's great to have him back and it gives us options. He is one of the best forwards in the league and we form a good partnership," he told Sky Sports.
