Liverpool ace Luis Suarez was delighted with their thrashing of Tottenham.

Suarez took the captain's armband in the absence of injured skipper Steven Gerrard on the day.

"We played very well.

"I try my best on the pitch and I am striker so I try to score. But most important was the performance of the team and we played very well in the first half.

"I'm so happy for us."
