Liverpool striker Luis Suarez admits he took the No7 shirt not realising its significance.
It's a decision he's pleased he made.
"I hadn't realised its history when I asked for the seven," the 24-year-old told liverpoolfc.tv. "I was asked what number and I chose it.
"But now I'm quite happy that I did, now I know about players like Kenny Dalglish and Kevin Keegan. I have seen some videos of Dalglish scoring for Liverpool. He was a great player."
And does Suarez believe he could one day be talked about in the same breath as Dalglish by Liverpool fans?
"No," he said. "I wouldn't compare myself to him."
