Liverpool boss Kenny Dalglish has revealed that Luis Suarez was emotional and grateful after being shown such strong support by the club.
The Uruguayan was found guilty of racially abusing Manchester United's Patrice Evra and was subsequently banned for eight matches as well as receiving a £40,000 fine but his teammates have fully backed him, which was evident when all players and coaches wore Suarez t-shirts prior to the Wigan Athletic clash on Wednesday night.
"I don't think it's ever a disappointment when your teammates and the people you work for give you their undivided support. For me, that's the least he deserves.""He was quite emotional and very grateful," Dalglish said.
And Dalglish does not expect the Football Association to take any action regarding the t-shirts which have been criticised by anti-racist organisations and some former players.
"I don't think the players have caused any trouble with the FA either with their statement or the t-shirts, so if we're not in any trouble we'll just leave it at that before we do give ourselves some trouble," he added.
